Raglan

Once a backwater surf town , Raglan has evolved with the times.

Home of possibly the longest left hand break in the world it is famous for producing long consistent waves. It is said that pro surfers have been able to ride a wave for up to 2 kilometres.

Gone are the days of it being the best kept secret , as people flock to the area. People of all sorts now call it home including environmentalists , surfers , hipsters , and artists.

National Geographic even named it as one of the “best surf towns in the world”.

A great town for a day trip from either Auckland or  Waikato.

Wander the streets to admire the art , eat some of Waikato’s best cuisine , or even have fish and chips on the beach.

Nearby Bridal Veil Falls is a must see !

Either on the way in or on the way out.

It is a short hike from the road but the reward is magnificent.

If you are lucky you might be able to see , or even photograph , a rainbow.

Your driver/guide can help show you the best of this chic little town and surrounding beaches
