Our driver/guides are flexible and considerate and will co-operate fully to make your trip a very special memory. Fly into Auckland , meet your driver/guide , and explore the “City Of Sails”. Spend the night at the beautiful Sofitel hotel , which is right on the waterfront. Your driver/guide will collect you from the Sofitel and set off towards “Pahia” , which is in the magnificent “Bay Of Islands”. Visit the “Kauri Museum” en route. The “Kauri” is a native tree to New Zealand and is the second largest species to the Sequoia. Stay for two nights at the sumptious Moon Gate Villa. Enjoy a scenic cruise to the “Hole In The Rock” and explore the bays and inlets. There is also some great Dolphin watching. Immerse yourself in New Zealand’s culture with a visit to the “Waitangi Grounds”. Set off with your driver/guide for Hamilton , stopping at the many waterfalls and quaint little beach towns along the way. Hamilton is a major hub to New Zealand’s dairy farming industry and is nestled along New Zealand’s longest river. Stay at the Novotel Hamilton Tainui Hotel with river views for one night. Wander around the diverse Hamilton gardens overlooking the river , before making your way to “Te Kuiti” , and visiting “Otorahanga Kiwi House” to view many of New Zealand’s native birds. Stay two nights at the lovely Waitomo Boutique Lodge. Visit the world famous “Waitomo Caves”. See the “Glow Worms” from a guided kayak tour , or try something more adventurous like black water rafting or caving. Use the afternoon for a tour of one of the sets used in the “Lord Of The Rings” trilogy , or take in the serenity of “Marokopa Falls”. Travel onwards with your driver/guide through the stunning countryside towards the cultural city of “Rotorua” . You will be in the shadows of three volcanoes (New Zealand has a lot of volcanoes). Stay two nights at the spectacular lake front Rotorua-Koura Lodge. Visit a local “Geothermal Park” , the “Sacred Lakes” and the stunning “Redwood National Park”. Then move on to the “Hidden Village” created by a volcanic eruption. That evening enjoy a traditional “Hangi” and a Maori cultural performance. Drive back with your driver/guide to Auckland via “Tauranga/Mount Maunganui (The Mount)” where you can take one of the many walks on the local Mountain. Then onwards along the scenic “Pacific Coast Highway” to Auckland. Spend your final night at the Sofitel Hotel reflecting on your New Zealand adventure. Fly home from Auckland.
